Forty years of diversified experience in mineral exploration and discovery, mine project development, and management on five continents. Specialising in quality control and integrated interpretation of geoscience data for base and precious metals, diamonds, groundwater, coal, industrial minerals, and environmental monitoring. Member of Society of Exploration Geophysicists and Registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) in Canada. Author of numerous technical papers and presentations in international fora, educator and mentor of international students, editor of technical journals. Team co-Recipient in 2015 of the PDAC Thayer Lindsley award for international mineral discovery on behalf of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd, for the Kamoa copper deposit in DR Congo.
Pascal van Osta, M.Sc., P.Geo.
Mr. van Osta has 30 years of experience in gold and base metal exploration in West Africa and the Guiana Shield of South America. During his career he has achieved several successes as a member of the geological teams that discovered Morila,Tabakoroni, Diba gold deposits in Mali, Samira Hill in Niger and Agbaou Hill in Côte d’Ivoire, with the majority of these becoming producing mines. Most recently he has focused his expertise on the world class gold-copper Toroparu project in Guyana, which is now at the feasibility stage.
